St Croix is home to an amazing array of good eats. From local West Indian street fare to fine-dining and everything in between, you’ll want to extend your vacation just to sample it all. Don’t worry, there are plenty of fun little beach bars brimming with frozen pina coladas and daiquiries… and of course every bar stocks plenty of our world-famous Cruzan ® Rum!
Each April, St Croix becomes a culinary playground where top celebrity chefs mingle with our local chefs during the week long events of the St Croix Food & Wine Experience. The event was named one of the Ten Best International Food and Wine Festivals by Forbes Travel 2009. The highlight of the event is A Taste of St Croix where local restaurants and chefs compete in a variety of categories and are judged by renowned celebrity chefs. Past participating judges have included Rocco DiSpirito, Govind Armstrong, Tim Love, Kevin Rathbun, Roberto Trevino, Evelyn Paul, Ana Sortun and more.
St Croix’s incredible restaurants are complemented by an eclectic and talented live music scene. Pretty much any night of the week you can find live music including Spanish-inspired guitar, Jimmy Buffet types, Country crooners and the ever popular steel pan. Sundays at Cane Bay typically feature Reggae after 2pm.

St Croix Food & Wine Experience: A Culinary Guide to the Island Featuring More than 100 Recipes from Island & Celebrity Chefs
By Jane Watkins with Steve Bennet & Katherine Pugliese
This beautiful book is so much more than a cookbook! Yes, it features incredible recipes from known celebrity Chefs like Govind Armstrong, Kevin Rathbun & Ana Sortun who competed on Bravo’s Top Chef Masters, it also features recipes & cocktails by local St Croix favorites – many of whom I’m lucky enough to call friend. I absolutely love flipping through the pages and seeing so many familiar faces! This book covers all the bases with incredible photography, a gorgeous layout and beautifully written pages on St Croix’s history & culture by Steve Bennett of Uncommon Caribbean (one of my absolute favorite blogs). A feast for all the senses!
