Friday May 4:: Triathlon Jump Up!, Christiansted 6pm – 10 pm
Jump Up is a St Croix street party put on by the Christiansted Restaurant & Retail Association in downtown Christiansted four times per year. King & Company Streets are blocked off, there is live music on literally every corner, restaurants and vendors offer curbside street food and local retailers remain open late with specials and sidewalk sales. You’ll hear local high school jazz bands, steel pan ensembles and musicians playing everyone’s favorites. Moko Jumbies parade throughout town around 8pm, so have your cameras ready. Local bars keep the party going after 10pm with live entertainment and drink specials. Beware that you don’t park streetside during the day, your car will get towed after 4pm!
Sunday May 6 :: St Croix Ironman 70.3 Triathlon, Island-wide 6am.
Race start, finish and transitions at Fort Christianvaern in downtown Christiansted. Come out and participate or cheer on amateur and professional athletes from around the world in a qualifying race for the Hawaiian Ironman in Kona. Be mindful that many of the main roads on the island (particularly East End, North Shore and South Shore) are closed completely to traffic from before 6am to about noon. Plan ahead.

Sunday May 27 :: Reef Jam at Rhythms at Rainbow Beach 1-10pm
Reef Jam is hosting is an annual event to “encourage marine conservation and stewardship through community education and outreach.” For only $5, attendees get to listen to live music, enter in to tons of raffles throughout the day, as well as a whole line-up of FREE reef-related activities for the whole family in the Reeftivity Zone!

Sunday June 10 :: Kayak for Kids Annual Benefit for the Queen Louise Home for Children, Hams Bay 10am
Paddle your kayak or Stand Up Paddle Board from Ham’s Bay down the West side of St Croix to Cottages By the Sea. There the children from Queen Louise Home will greet participants and everyone will enjoy a picnic on the beach. Participants are asked to raise at least $50 per person. Kayak for kids is open to participants of all ages and is a great outing for the whole family.
